The Pacepacker Pinch Bottom Heat Sealer is designed to fold and seal stepped end paper sacks. It achieves this by hot air jets reactivating pre-applied hot melt adhesive. The sack is fed into the feeder which then automatically crease the top, heats it and folds it over and finally presses it to a tight seal.
Most types and sizes of 'Pinch Bottom' sacks are suitable, the stepped end must be treated with a hot melt adhesive, which is reactivated at about 150°C.
The pinch bottom heat sealer has a variable pitch drive pulley that gives a speed range of 9-11 metres per minute. It is essential that the speed of the heat sealer is exactly matched to the speed of the conveyor underneath.
The normal temperature range of the unit is between 100°C and 200°C. An adjustment enables the precise temperature to be selected.
A full electrical control panel is mounted to the machine.
Automatic cut outs are fitted to prevent excessive overheating.
The heat sealer is mounted on a telescopic stand which can be raised or lowered by turning a handle.
A number stamp can be mounted at the end of the sealer to stamp on the reference number which is increased by one for each sack.
Standard: 380-415v, 50/60 Hertz 3 Phase & neutral to drive a ¼Kw drive motor and a 2Kw heater.
Cool, clean, dry air at 8 CuFt per minute. A pressure regulator is incorporated in the machine to take the pressure down from line to about 5-10psi.
Case Size (mm); 1,500 x 500 x 1,100mm high. Gross weight is approx; 160 Kg.
The Pacepacker Vee Track conveyor is recommended for conveying the sack under the heat sealer, or the heat sealer can be incorporated into a Total Bag Control or Topform system for automatic sack presentation.
